Do you know how much the food we eat really costs us?

The way food is produced and the way we eat create huge costs that are not reflected in our food bills;

Some of the "unseen costs" are actual dollar amounts including subsidies and cleanup costs that we pay for in taxes;

Damage to the environment including pollution and loss of wildlife habitat;

Loss of quality of life - tasteless food, loss of the pleasure of preparing food and eating together;

Health issues such as obesity, heart diseases, poor nutrition,contaminated food;

The act of community within the family by sitting together and enjoying a fresh home cooked meal of local produce.
